Coopers

Since 1862

Coopers founded in 1862 by Thomas Cooper, is Australia’s oldest family owned and run brewery with a legacy of brewing their signature craft Pale Ales for 6 generations. Coopers adopted a unique method of natural fermentation and conditioning in the 1800s – a small amount of live yeast is added to the beer just before bottling or kegging that causes a secondary fermentation in the bottle or keg that carbonates the beer and eliminating the need for any preservatives or additives. Coopers continues to follow the traditional brewing methods along with cutting-edge production technology that enables them to deliver a consistent brew of high-quality beers and robust flavours. Coopers has won numerous recognitions for its contribution to Australian beer culture and its award-winning craft brews including Champion Brewery at the Adelaide Beer & Cider Awards.
